The arithmetic behind each starting figure

Each sedan figure is $45 plus $3.40 for every road mile from the crossing to the terminal, rounded up to the next five dollars and never under $75; the SUV figure is the sedan figure times 1.3, rounded up the same way. The car company quotes its own rate for your address, and once you accept it, that written fare is a fixed rate for the ride as quoted; the confirmation states what waiting beyond the included time costs.
